Aimee's Grandma:

The horses help my child by:

She loves riding so much that she doesn’t realize all the work she’s doing while riding. The horses are trusted friends. The movements while riding stimulate every sense for optimum growth.

My child’s favorite thing about coming is:

Riding the horses makes the hard work fun.

Bella's mother:

Before my child started occupational therapy incorporating equine movement as a treatment strategy, my child struggled with:

Getting over-stimulated often. She sought lots of sensory input: chewing, jumping, crashing, climbing.

My child has demonstrated the following improvements with this therapy:

Identifying sensory needs: “Gum please” or “Squish please.” Regulating has improved a lot! She gets “stuck” a lot less—greatly improved.”

Before my child started occupational therapy incorporating equine movement as a treatment strategy, my child struggled with:

Balance, confidence, going up and down stairs, sitting and balancing on a toilet. Sylvia could not jump at all.

Sylvia has much better mobility in every way. She’s able to balance on a toilet without help. Sylvia can now go up and down stairs with one handrail and is now able to start jumping with both feet.

RB's mother:

Before my child started occupational therapy incorporating equine movement as a treatment strategy, my child struggled with:

Speaking with words, sitting up straight and writing his name. He couldn’t jump on one foot, skip or hopscotch. Many gross & fine motor skills were below age-level. He also wasn’t potty-trained.

One thing our therapist has done that has been helpful is:

She has been able to effectively take my son’s rare situation and modify and tailor his therapy to be the most efficient it could be. He has grown and made so many improvements. I attribute his progress to the skill and dedication our therapist gives her clients.

My favorite thing about coming is:

The special care and consideration the team of people take to ensure the safety and success of my child.
